Built in 1899 and designed by Daniel Burnham, the Federal Building is located at the corner of North Phelps Street and West Federal Street. It is one of the last remaining buildings of the late 20th century in the downtown area. Total area is 5,720 square feet.
The building is of concrete and brick construction, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 8, 2008.
