This beautiful mansion was built on .812 acres of land ca. 1915 by Burt Printz, who owned and operated a successful men's retail clothing store in the city's heyday. Printz died in 1945 at the age of 85. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic places.
It has approximately 8000 square feet of interior space and a total of 16 rooms, including nine bedrooms, four bathrooms and one half bath. Although the mansion has a Fifth Avenue address, it is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Tod Lane, facing Tod Lane.
The Printz family was heavily involved in the arts and hosted many famous performers who came to Youngstown to perform with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra.
Mrs. Burt Printz was President of the Monday Musical Club, the group that booked shows for Stambaugh Auditorium. For a time the mansion was used as a Convent.

The mansion has a huge living room with windows going the length of one side and a music room on the landing to the second floor. The master bedroom suite has an attached nursery and a seperate maid's quarters.
At the left end of the mansion, facing Fifth Avenue, is a room with an arched glass block wall. The Sun Room at the far right of the mansion is quite cozy. The 3rd floor has been turned into an apartment.
The mansion has been reopened as a Bed & Breakfast as of October, 2005. It had been a spiritual retreat (The "Mentoring Mansion") operated by Devi Titus before she dedided to move their operations to Dallas, TX and expand them there. The former Mentoring Mansion has hosted about 600 guests over its years of operation in Youngstown
